Toshiba TG01

The Toshiba TG01 is a stab at the smartphone market which is currently being dominated by the likes of Apple, HTC and Nokia. The G01 is an amazing device in that it has a specifications sheet that might give you a heart attack! A 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a massive 4.1 inch screen (the next best screen in the market being 3.8 inches) and a super slim waistline of 9.9 mm (something to rival even the ultra slim smartphone, the iPhone 3GS) is sure to leave your gaping and wishing that the phone would pop up in your hands this instant!
The Toshiba TG01 has a 3.2 megapixel camera which doesn’t really have any features to boast about. It is a pity, considering how much effort they put into the rest of the phone. A variety of resolutions, autofocus and a timer are present to make it a fairly decent camera, but it lags a fair distance behind the similar pixelised camera of the iPhone 3GS. The absence of a flash as well as the lack of a night mode setting means that taking pictures in low light can be taken out of the equation.
The Toshiba TG01 is fairly good when considering video playback. This is because the massive 4.1 inch screen means that it is a great thing to watch movies on the phone while you are on the go. However, there always seemed to be a glare appearing on the screen from our coffee mug, but a small change of angle fixed it.
Being the first to have made a phone on the Snapdragon processor, Toshiba has gotten a lot of plaudits for the phone. The massive screen, super slim waistline and a top processor make it a serious contender for the title of best smartphone ever. The phone has been released in June earlier this year.

Toshiba TG01 Made Available On Orange UK

Toshiba’s TG01 is the first Snapdragon phone in the world which is on sale. It will be available at the Orange shop in UK.  TG01 will be released in July, is about 9.9-milimeter thin and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. It has 4.1 inches screen with 800 by 480 pixels display. Orange will be the carrier for this Smartphone from Toshiba.

Nowadays all mobile phone makers are working on developing revolutionary handsets of the future. Toshiba has joined the bandwagon with its soon to be launching TG01 Smartphone. It is believed that this slim small touch screen device, TG01 will be packed with all the TV technology from Toshiba. It is expected to give the users the spectacular multimedia experience. Toshiba is even hoping that this new handset will give competition to the very popular iPhone from Apple.

The handset is already available in Japan as well as some other European countries and is hitting the UK market in July.  The TG01 will be shipped with limited internal memory but has a microSD card which will allow memory expansions of up to 32GB.  You will get Wi-Fi radios, GPS and HSDPA along with Bluetooth, and a 3.2 megapixels camera. It is the slimmest Smartphone till now running on WinMob. It manages the high-resolution screen well with the 1GB Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm. A stylus may be included with the TG01.

Flash support is integrated with the TG01 which suggests that the user will be able to navigate any website with Flash as well as see videos which are not available on an interface without Flash. It is also expected that TG01 will be shipped with an incorporated access to Google, Facebook and YouTube. Toshiba is also discussing with the developers to build games particular to this mobile phone to complement the Windows Mobile applications which are available. TG01 has been launched in France for 99 Euros by Orange.
