LG Arena KM900LG Arena KM900 is another new touchscreen phone to be released to in an attempt to capitalise on the Apple iPhone’s popularity. While being significantly cheaper than the iPhone 3GS, many people may accuse it of cheap imitation. While it performs many of the same features as the iPhone, and in many instances outperforms, some have found the interface to lack the responsiveness of the iPhone.

Now users of the LG Arena KM900 are able to download an Apple iPhone theme (or disguise, some might say) for their device. The theme includes ringtones and wallpapers to give the phone the look and feel of an iPhone.

Although some would deem this unnecessary considering the accusations of the LG Arena KM900 being nothing more than an iClone. The LG Arena KM900 certainly resembles the iPhone in its look and feel, and the interfaces on the surface look very much alike. However, LG have been winning awards for their interface, which attempts to mimic the action of real world objects.

The comparisons to the iPhone are reinforced by the touch sensitive screen utilizing the capacitive technology found among its Apple rival. The LG Arena KM900’s screen is smaller than the iPhone’s at 3” although it boasts a splendid WVGA resolution.

The phone has gained popular praise for its support for playing DivX and XviD videos and Dolby Mobile sound technology, which makes the KM900 a real multimedia powerhouse.  Included is an FM transmitter for transmitting audio to nearby radios. While the Arena’s storage space is not the largest, it boasts a hefty 8GB.

The LG Arena KM900 has everything the iPhone has to offer and more, and is cheaper too.
