htc-snapAfter having a great deal of success with the HTC Excalibur quite recently, HTC is bringing the same market another phone, which is the HTC Snap. The HTC Snap is extremely professional in every single aspect and will ensure that your attention is grabbed with a ‘snap’ due to its amazing full QWERTY keyboard and the amazing design of the phone as a whole. In addition to this, the trackball navigation makes it extremely easy to use the phone.

The HTC Snap will be making use of the Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard OS and possesses a 528MHz processor, thereby ensuring that you will be able to access all the apps at an extremely high speed. Using the WAP 2.0 browser and the QWERTY keyboard, you will not only be able to use email, but you can also surf the internet at extremely high speed. This is facilitated using the 7.2 Mbps HSDPA network.

In addition to the HSDPA connectivity, you can also stay connected using EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi. Bluetooth v2.0 is present with support for A2DP profiles. USB connectivity is also available so that you can transfer data between the computer and the phone. The HTC Snap will be compatible with all 2G and 3G networks.

The HTC Snap makes use of a 2.4 inch display, which has a resolution of 320×240 pixels. It comes armed with a 2 megapixel camera which can shoot pictures with a maximum resolution of 1600×1200 pixels. Though there is no radio and an infrared port (due to it being targeted mainly at the business segment), you will be able to benefit from the MP3 player as well as a host of games.

A 1500 mAh battery is provided with the phone, ensuring talk time of upto 5 hours on a 3G network and 8 hours and 30 minutes on a 2G network.

HTC Snap

htc-snapThe HTC Snap is already being praised as a very good smartphone which has a set of features that every techno – geek is likely to be full of praise for. Looking at the technical specifications of the phone, the HTC Snap is packed in the connectivity side – Wi-Fi connectivity for high speed internet access as well as Bluetooth. The HTC Snap doesn’t lack in speed, having a very powerful CPU. There is support for all UMTS and HSDPA networks as well. There is a good amount of memory, which is shared between the ROM and the RAM. Topping it all off is the in – built GPS receiver, which means that you can get directions to wherever you want to go.
The user interface used in the HTC Snap is extremely fast and very responsive, something that is not generally seen of HTC phones. The extremely good speed of the HTC Snap really comes in handy when you want the phone to perform tasks which use up a lot of memory. Such tasks include loading web pages which have a lot of graphics or high resolution video files.
The display also warrants a mention. The readability, as well as the contrast, of the screen is very impressive when comparing it with other smartphones. The visibility of the display is very applaudable even when it is used in the direct glare of the sun. The visibilty, of course, remains only when the backlight is either at medium or high.
Finally, the GPS function in the HTC Snap should not be forgotten. Observations done during a variety of tests, having the speed of fixing and usage of the pre – installed Google Maps as the basis, the receiver did extremely well.
The HTC Snap has already been released, so it should be in a store near you.
