Posh meets quirkiness in the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pureness
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness is truly – attention grabbing. Having had rumours earlier in the year, some official photos of the phone have finally come out, confirming the presence of this phone. The phone makes use of a transparent display, which is pretty much all the rage and this phone is the first to have transported this concept to an actual phone.
We have seen a number of concepts such as the Nokia Morph but we generally end up seeing them in some techno – thriller movie. However, the LG Crystal broke this trend by making the keypad transparent. However, this was just a utilization of existing technology in a fairly creative manner. However, this phone is totally cool and truly takes technology from, perhaps, the future.
This phone is aimed at injecting some new concept and a sense of luxury to the XPERIA series of mobile phones. With the see – through screen and the really sleek and minimalistic design, it is sure to take on the luxury phones head – on while the X2 and the X3 are aimed more towards having a whole load of features in one phone.
This phone is the first proper shot at a transparent screen, but the phone has a couple of limitations. The screen seems to be a bit small, as mentioned in other Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness Reviews. However, this isn’t such a big deal as, looking at the photos, we can deduce that the phone has some pretty decent viewing and contrast angles. The resolution of the screen is not known. Also, how it will fare under direct sunlight is yet to be seen.
The phone is set to be released somewhere in November of this year for an estimated retail price of 640 pounds ($100). Alternatively you may be able to pick up the Pureness on contract. Are you ready for the revolution?
