LG GC900 Viewty2
The GC900 Viewty Smartis one of the new phones scheduled to be released later this year. The handset looks good with the 3 inch display screen. The screen is a WVGA touch screen. The display area is wide. making it easy for the user to navigate through menus. The phone uses the latest LG 3D S-Classer User Interface.
The phone’s onboard memory is expandable to a maximum of 32 GB using the MicroSD memory card slot.
The GC900 Viewty Smarthas decent connectivity options with HSDPA 7.2 and Wi-Fi. The HSDPA allows high speed connection which is useful when downloading files. The user can view emails whenever they want to. The phone also comes with a Bluetooth chip allowing close distance fast file transfer.
As the phone’s primary function is as a camera phone, it has an excellent 8MP camera with autofocus and a xenon flash. The camera also has the geo-tagging application allowing the user to tag any image with a geographical tag and find the coordinates of the image. The camera also has an image stabilizer where it can reduce the blur that occurs due to the lens shaking from normal small hand movements when using a hand held camera. It also has smile recognition technology and face tracking. Slow motion videos can be recorded. The camera uses the professional Schneider-Kreuznach lens. In addition to all these applications it has the touch shot photography application.
The GC900 Viewty Smartcomes with a DivX and Xvid player supporting a wide variety of audio and video formats.
The inbuilt GPS receiver attracts users looking for a phone with good navigational options.
But even with all these functions, the phone has been criticized as not being up to standard when compared to other phones on the market. The LG Viewty Smart is a long way off according to CNET
The LG GC900 Viewty2 might still be a good buy depending on its price, which hasn’t which will be released later this year.
