Apple PR on Published Emails: That is not Steve jobs
Various websites are currently sourcing a news article from the Boy Genius Report which covers a quick email exchange from Steve Jobs regarding the issue with the Apple iPhone 4’s antenna issues. In the exchange, Jobs is depicted as somewhat apathetic to the issue and was shrugging off the complaint.
Now, new details from the Apple Insider are saying that the emails that were published are misleading and that Apple is currently working on a solution to the issue –in fact, as of the time of writing, there are already some news reports floating around that Apple is pretty close to isolating the issue and is on the road to coming up with a solution.
Apple’s PRs have been working double time to not only calm down the angry public (the antenna issue has been pretty close to causing a major outcry anyway) and at the same time, clean up situations caused by the alleged email exchange. Anyway, it appears that it was not Steve Jobs who was directly handling the situation with “Tom” –the same customer who seems to have started uploading the first videos of the iPhone’s bad antenna.
Sadly, Steve Jobs’ very own personal reputation has done nothing to tide down rumors such as this. The man’s aggressive and offbeat remarks have made him into something of a tech industry icon –known for his frequent public outbursts and his tendency to say things that really offend people.
In any case, it is a relief to know that Apple is actually working on ways to solve the issue. When the first batch of alleged Steve Jobs emails were put online, it appeared that Apple might not be planning taking the necessary steps to fix the situation with the iPhone 4’s antenna. Now that things are in a proper perspective, iPhone 4 owners can rest easy knowing that Apple is on the case.
