Saturday, December 19, 2009BlackBerry

BlackBerry Pearl 9100Research In Motion (RIM) looks ready to launch another BlackBerry product into the marketplace. The latest, the BlackBerry Pearl 9100, is all set to become the newest addition to the design line. The company has yet to release a great amount of details regarding the Striker (the product’s codename) and most of the information that can be found online is conjecture. In this post, we will list what we have gathered from our own research. The mobile phone’s specs may change a bit from what is listed hereby the time it is finally released.

The Blackberry Pearl 9100 will be by all accounts, similar in design at least, to the 9700. It will have 3G capabilities, a SureType keyboard instead of the full QWERTY keyboard utilized in the Bold 9700.

The 9100 is set to be released on the heels of Blackberry’s Storm 2 and Bold 9700.  Both of these phones have been well received by the public, as have many of the phones in the Blackberry line. As stated above, the known specs of the phone are pretty thin. No official information has been released. Even still, there has been a lot of buzz and talk concerning it. There are many of blogs featuring information on the phone, though it has yet to be released.

What is known, however, is that Research In Motion (RIM), generally hits the mark with its phones. People tend to like them and remain loyal to the brand. This particular phone looks like it will be a winner. As much as is known, it appears to offer enough features to make it attractive. The price of the phone will likely be the determining factor in whether or not people choose this one or one of the many other smartphones on the market. If it is not the determining factor, it will at least be an important one.
