LG BL20 Chocolate Priced at €269

October 19, 2009LGNo Comments

LG Chocolate BL20LG BL 20 Chocolate is out on the shelves in the UK and is available at a price of €269. LG BL 0 Chocolate will be available exclusively at O2.

This is the second phone in the stylish Chocolate series from LG. The earlier Chocolate phone was LGH BL 40, which was a touch screen phone with a remarkable 4” WVGA TFT screen. The LG BL 40 is based on the same design theme, and although it has a smaller 2.4” TFT screen with a much lower resolution, it has some other impressive design features, which even surpass the BL 40 in their attractiveness. The BL 40 is a slider phone, and its red slider keypad fits well with the dark theme of the phone. Apart from that, the phone features hidden navigation buttons, which appear when the phone is slid open. The design also features convenient touch sensitive side controls, which allow you to adjust the volume and the camera zoom without much trouble. Although the BL 20 is not as slim as its predecessor, a thickness of 12.9 mm is not bad at all for a slider phone.

Like the BL 40, the BL 20 chocolate also features a 5.0 mega pixel camera with auto focus and flash, and also enables you to benefit from the clear memo capture with text scan feature, which allows you to capture the image of any physical document.

Despite the lower picture quality, the LG BL 20 features a rich multimedia experience, and with memory extendable up to 16 GB, it provides enough space for the storage of music files or even movies. Unfortunately Wi-Fi is absent in
BL 20 unlike the earlier Chocolate release, which is one of the reasons for the price difference of both the phones. However, LG BL 20 provides a good enough network connectivity support for 3G, WAP 2.0, EDGE and GPRS, and also features Bluetooth and USB support. While only being available on O2 there is still a range of great LG BL20 Chocolate contracts to pick from.

Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite – Android Indeed

October 18, 2009SamsungNo Comments

Samsung Galaxy Lite i5700A lot of people searching out information about Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite encountered a shock when they noticed some sites blogging about the speculations that Samsung Galaxy i5700 does not feature the Android operating system platform. However, all the speculations and doubts have been laid to rest on the release of official pictures of the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite, because most of the guesswork was based on unofficial pictures and unreliable sources. The Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite in the officially released pictures is nothing like what you have seen before.

The official photographs clearly show the Android logo, which will appear very soothing to the eyes of many Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite fans. It is also being widely speculated that the phone may be named Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica instead of Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite. However, the Android feature, along with the TouchWizard user interface, is confirmed. The internal memory offered by the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite will be considerably lower than that of the i7500 as expected, although some may find it a little too low for their comfort. The Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite only allows 200 MB of internal storage as compared to the 8 GB internal memory featured in Samsung Galaxy i7500. Despite this difference, both the sets allow the memory to be extended up to 32 GB through MicroSD card support.

Another satisfactory element that will save Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite fans from any unpleasant revelations is that most of the features in it are similar to its predecessor. Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite features a 3.2” AMOLED touch screen, a 3.2 mega pixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE and HSDPA connectivity support, GPS, accelerometer, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB support, Chrome Lite Browser and other Google applications.

But what remains to be seen is whether the users of Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite find its experience worth the wait or not, when Samsung Galaxy Lite contracts become available.

Samsung Genio TXT – Text in Style

October 17, 2009SamsungNo Comments

Samsung Genio TXTDespite all the complaining about a much reduced screen size in the Samsung Genio TXT, the fact that Genio TXT is an attractive design and is as stylish as its other Genio sister doesn’t change a bit. Samsung Genio TXT is one of the most attractive handsets with a QWERTY keypad on the front, among the phones that are announced to be released in the coming months. The set is available in primarily a sophisticated black-yellow color scheme, but as is the case with other Genio phones, it offers you the option of changeable “fashion jackets” or battery covers, which you can select as per your taste, to add your personal signature on how your phone looks.

But as is evident by the design of Samsung Genio TXT, it is primarily meant for users who love sending text messages or to chat through text instant messaging. Although there are a lot of smartphones that offer a touch screen virtual keypad or a slider keypad like that featured in the Genio Pro, the other newly announced sister of the Genio TXT, the users who engage in heavy text messaging would agree that using such keypads can be a real headache, especially the touch screen key pads. Samsung realizes this problem and has designed Genio TXT in just the way that suits users who like to send text messages a lot.

Genio TXT is equipped with all the applications that will fulfill your social networking needs and provide you instant access to popular social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, while keeping you inform with the latest, and with the QWERTY keypad on the front, you can respond to the updates in the speed that you are used to type in. With a 2.0 mega pixel camera, 40 MB internal memory extendable up to 8 GB, light weight, multimedia playback support and a 3.5 mm audio jack, Genio TXT is the right phone for those who can’t get enough of sending text messages. Avid texters should watch out for Samsung Genio TXT deals as this phone will be ideal for them.

But the main reason why H1 looks more attractive is its 3.5” OLED multi touch sensitive screen, 16 GB memory and a 5.0 mega pixel camera. But as far as benefiting from the Vodafone 360 services are concerned, Vodafone 360 M1, which features a 3.2” TFT touch screen, does not offer you anything less than its sister handset. HTC TattooThe Android based HTC set with a slim and attractive design, Tattoo, is available on Vodafone’s online store and the shipping of the order starts from October 8. HTC Tattoo is expected to be relatively cheaper than many other high profile smartphones, but is being widely received positively because of its attractive slim design, a simple yet effective user interface, and all the benefits of the popular operating system platform developed by Google, Android. Tattoo also uses a number of other Google web services, such as Google maps, search and email among its features pertaining to the internet and web surfing.

The phone has a simple five button menu and is navigated through a touch-screen and enables users to modify it the way it is convenient to them, The Android platform helps you to stay updated with the latest updates on your Facebook news feed, with the latest videos on YouTube, or the pictures added by your friends on Flickr and respond to them with considerable ease.

The HTC Tattoo handset does not offer as sensitive a touch screen or a 5.0 mega pixel camera as in HTC Hero, but it is much lighter and smaller than the latter and is expected to be carrying a cheaper price as well. HTC Tattoo features a 3.2 mega pixel camera and a resistive touch-screen instead, while its 2.8” inch TFT screen is also smaller than the 3.2” screen of HTC Hero, but with smaller dimensions, the smaller screen is understandable. Nature friendly Samsung Blue Earth at your service

October 6, 2009SamsungNo Comments

Samsung S7550 Blue EarthThe Samsung Blue Earth has been created with conservation of the environment in mind. The phone itself as well as the retail box have been made out of recycled material and the back of the phone features a solar panel which enables you to charge the battery by using sunlight. Unlike most of the other natural offerings out there, the solar panel is not the only top feature in the phone. The phone has a 3 inch screen which is touch sensitive, a TouchWiz user interface and a fairly good set of features which is sure to make a big impact when it is released in the 4th quarter of this year. Samsung Blue Earth Reviews have been good, so let’s take the phone for a spin.

We mentioned earlier that the phone was made from recycled materials. To be more precise, the phone is made from recycled water bottles, which is really cool. The phone has a real solid build and you won’t feel, not even for a fleeting moment, that the phone is bad in any way. The production of the phone has not involved any product which is harmful to nature. The phone has a very appealing design and the nice mystic blue colour scheme will surely make heads turn when you are in a crowd.

The 3 inch capacitive touchscreen enables you to navigate through the phone with a flick of your finger. The call accept and call reject buttons are situated under the screen but don’t have any backlighting in order to save up on battery power. The phone makes use of an all – in – one microUSB port which enables you to connect the phone to a computer in addition to charging the phone or plugging in a pair of headphones. The phone has a 3 megapixel camera as well, making it a great earth – friendly phone overall. We are highly anticipating all the great Samsung Blue Earth deals that we are going to see coming out in the near future.

Posh meets quirkiness in the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pureness

Sony Ericsson Xperia PurenessThe Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness is truly – attention grabbing. Having had rumours earlier in the year, some official photos of the phone have finally come out, confirming the presence of this phone. The phone makes use of a transparent display, which is pretty much all the rage and this phone is the first to have transported this concept to an actual phone.

We have seen a number of concepts such as the Nokia Morph but we generally end up seeing them in some techno – thriller movie. However, the LG Crystal broke this trend by making the keypad transparent. However, this was just a utilization of existing technology in a fairly creative manner. However, this phone is totally cool and truly takes technology from, perhaps, the future.

This phone is aimed at injecting some new concept and a sense of luxury to the XPERIA series of mobile phones. With the see – through screen and the really sleek and minimalistic design, it is sure to take on the luxury phones head – on while the X2 and the X3 are aimed more towards having a whole load of features in one phone.

This phone is the first proper shot at a transparent screen, but the phone has a couple of limitations. The screen seems to be a bit small, as mentioned in other Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness Reviews. However, this isn’t such a big deal as, looking at the photos, we can deduce that the phone has some pretty decent viewing and contrast angles. The resolution of the screen is not known. Also, how it will fare under direct sunlight is yet to be seen.

The phone is set to be released somewhere in November of this year for an estimated retail price of 640 pounds ($100). Alternatively you may be able to pick up the Pureness on contract. Are you ready for the revolution?

Affordability + Music = Nokia X3

October 5, 2009NokiaNo Comments

Nokia X3The Nokia X3 was one of a number of phones which were revealed at the Nokia World 2009 event which was held in Stuttgart, Germany. The X3 is notable for being the first Symbian Series40 phone to come integrated with Nokia’s OVI store. The phone has a 3.2 megapixel camera, a compact size and a 2.2 inch screen. Support for 16 GB microSD memory cards, stereo speakers and the dedicated music buttons beside the screen are some of the other highlights of this phone.

The phone has an active homescreen which enables you to view your contacts, friends, and the song which is currently playing. Music aficionados have some other good news. The flight mode allows you to use all the functions of the phone, including the music player, even when you are on a plane.

Stereo Bluetooth support is present on the phone, meaning that you can use your favourite wireless headset with the phone. The 3.5 mm headset jack enables you to use your computer headset with the phone rather than the headset which comes with the phone. The microUSB v2.0 port enables you to transfer data to and from the computer. Music can be managed on the phone using Windows Media Player 11 or the OVI player.

There are plentiful messaging options in the phone. A great feature present is the receiving of MMS and SMS in the same inbox, making it convenient for you to view them. Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging support is also present. Nokia Messaging 2.0 allows you to use your email and IM accounts on the phone.

The Nokia X3 Reviews have been good, so don’t miss out on it when it gets released during the 4th quarter of this year, possibly near Christmas, for an estimated 105 pounds. Alternatively you will be able to pick up some very affordable Nokia X3 contracts.
